Another postcard from Bordeaux - well 50 of them! So I am on the way home and as promised, here's a little round up of what went on! Chez Castillon was every bit as fabulous as i remember it last year, and Janie & Mike the hosts were wonderful as usual. So wonderful, I'm going back in October!! Here's a link to around half of the pics - I do hope you can see them, on my public facebook page (they upload there in an instant whereas each one takes about 4 mins to do if i put them on here.) One of the girls was very enthusiastic about…

BOOK OF THE WEEK -¬†an amazingly eye opening self help book which was first published in August 1976. Wayne Dyer is a genius. End of. Garden pics and singalonga-MDD-fete! Hi - hope you're enjoying the weather - not! Fingers crossed for some sunshine¬†- just a bit - over Hampton Court tonight (thursday 16th) as we're off to see Tom Jones at the open air courtyard festival! At least I'll get some sunshine end of next week in France at my writing holiday - I hope, although when I went last year there was the biggest thunder storm ever on one of the nights and I had to beg the owner of the bar to take a group of us including 80 year old Beryl Kingston, back to the…
The fate of the Fete; and what I found in the garden... I am surrounded by woods and countryside - well, apart from the neighbours! And one of them is a little visitor who keeps returning - happily not into the garden itself, where over zealous labradors abound... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=El2sjGZ1uIQ Funny! So it's been all systems go for this Sunday's fete in aid of Medical Detection Dogs - go to the bottom of thiis to see the full list of what's on in the afternoon and also at the evening ticket only Supper Quiz, and for those who haven't heard me boring for England about it, the links are also there to find…
MAKING YOUR MIND UP As in recent news, I'm with the analysts who state that both sides have tried and failed to convince, using extreme misleading statements. For a billionth time it's not 'immigrants' it's 'uncontrolled, self selected immigration' and the economics and impact thereof. We need immigration and it's vital - useful non- discriminatory immigration, and we always will. Plus we will always have refugees and asylum seekers, always. Cuts and austerity at same time as uncontrolled numbers equals biiiiig problems in lots of areas in the uk. Go see those places, don't be an Emu. Or watch Question…
